UBUD YOGA MEDITATION COMMUNITY

What an honour to be invited by Guru Made Sumantra (GMS) to be part of this community. I love the time I spend in Ubud each year immersed in yoga. In the 9 years since meeting GMS I have learnt and received so much from this incredible healer and teacher. I am truly grateful and we are blessed that GMS continues to share his teachings at ‘Namaste Bali’.

GMS engages the ‘Namaste Bali’ group each year through purification, healing, pranayama, meditation and asana. GMS with an open heart and ever present smile creates a sacred, healing and spiritual space deepening the practices in the week we spend together. He is passionate in his teachings and brings a joy and lightness into each session encouraging everyone gently and with a smile to be their best in that moment.

Music, mantra and movement are all part of his creative and intuitive teachings and participants await his arrival each day eager to see how the session will unfold.

I incorporate GMS’s teachings (Markandeya Yoga) into each Namaste Yoga class and facilitate Balinese Yoga (Markandeya Yoga) classes where I go deeper with the teachings.

For the love of yoga

Namaste Yoga classes return from Monday 19th August @ 5.30pm @ Kincumber Neighbourhood Centre, Wednesday 21st August @5.30pm @ Empire Bay Progress Hall.

Classes @ Davistown still continue while Nicole is away and are being covered by Mayra Castro Thursdays @ 10.30am @ Davistown Progress Hall.

Be a warrior not a worrier- new classes at De-Mantra

These classes will teach or deepen your understanding of Warrior 1 and 2. The intention is to share a beautiful and nurturing Warrior Meditation Sequence complete with powerful affirmations. The sequence allows you to go within and connect with your inner warrior.

It is a simple and effective practice that integrates body, mind and breath.

Physically you will be practicing powerful standing postures that work the legs and lower body and expands into the chest area opening the Heart Chakra (Anahata). The poses increase life force (prana/energy) creating vitality and strength.

A vital and strong mind and body is more able to face daily challenges.

The sequence can assist you to acknowledge your fear/s and work with your own abilities and strengths to create inner peace.

There is great power in the spoken word and the affirmations throughout this practice, combined with the postures and the breath creates great energy and strength.
